Instructional Technologies in e-Learning

Organization of e-Learning course materials and e-learning processes are performed by learning management system (LMS). ANKUZEM employs Moodle as open source LMS. This system is used by both instructors and students for the purposes of knowledge sharing and communication. The system typically consists of all the instructional content (e-book, slides, handouts, multimedia support, etc.), records of virtual classrooms, announcements, syllabus, assignments, assignment grades, and performance reports. Virtual classroom sessions are conducted by the use of “Adobe Connect” software. Students are expected to participate in these synchronous classroom sessions. For the students who miss virtual class activities, video recordings of the sessions are provided in the system. In addition to these activities, students can access to chat, forum, blog, and wiki activities in order to interact with instructors, other students and course contents.
